After all of the shopping and running around on Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday, comes Giving Tuesday.
Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement which pulls together the power of people and various organizations in an effort to help locally and globally.
Originally established in 2012 as a day to encourage people to help in their own way, this idea has since grown into a global movement that now inspires hundreds of millions of people to collaborate, celebrate generosity, and to give.
Working Together We Can Accomplish More
Givingtuesday.org estimates that in 2018, over 3.6 million gifts were given and over $400,000,000 was raised online! How amazing is that? This just goes to show what people can do when they work together. As long as each one of us does their part, in doing what we can, where we are, with the resources that are available to us, together we can accomplish big things.
This year our team was very excited to have the opportunity to support a local rescue. Through the funds raised through Eunomia’s sales this past year, the Eunomia Foundation was able to donate 168 22-oz cans of Pedigree dog food, 150 contractor- sized trash bags, brooms, and dust pans.
Meet Loveable Luke!
Also, do you see that handsome pupper modeling in the photo above with one of Speranza’s fabulous volunteers? That’s Luke! We loved meeting this wonderful good boy, and guess what… He’s available for adoption!
According to the Speranza team, Luke is the sweetest low rider you will ever meet. He’s so laid back and just loves to snuggle. He doesn’t make a peep in his kennel and he keeps it super clean. The team believes that he is around 3-4 years old. He came to Speranza full of scars and broken teeth and while his history is not known, he is just the best boy and has nothing but love to give.
Luke would do best as an only pet but he is absolutely amazing with kids. He is one of the best event dogs and he goes on outings with volunteers and does amazingly. Whoever adopts Luke is one lucky family!
The following photos of Luke are available on Speranza’s Facebook page (you can follow them online by clicking here)…
Seriously though… Will you just look at that sweet snuggle bug? This is just one of many loving animals available at Speranza that you can apply to adopt.
Wouldn’t you just love a new best friend?
